How it works
5 steps to apply yourself
- 1
Gather your documents
A passport valid 6+ months, a scan of its data page, a passport-style photo, your Vietnam address, and your entry/exit dates and border gates.
- 2
Fill the form on the official portal
Go to evisa.gov.vn and complete the application section by section. Use exactly the names and numbers as printed in your passport.
- 3
Pay the fee online
Pay US$25 (single) or US$50 (multiple) by card. The fee is not refunded if your application is denied — so check every field first.
- 4
Wait and track your status
Processing is usually about 3 working days. Keep your registration code and check the status on the same portal.
- 5
Download and print it
When approved, download the e-visa PDF and print a paper copy to show at immigration — a phone screen alone may not be accepted.

Limited options
An e-visa usually cannot be extended for tourists — the common routes are to exit and get a new e-visa, or an in-country extension through a licensed agent (costly, not guaranteed). You have 14 day(s).
14 day(s) remaining
Stay longer · your options
e-visa extension
Limited; often easier to exit + re-enter with a new e-visa
In-country extension
Via the Immigration Dept or a licensed agent (bureaucratic, allow time)
Visa run
A "visa run" to a neighboring country + new e-visa is common for tourists
