According to Article 14 and Article 15 of Circular 32/2023/TT-BYT, the scope of practice of people with traditional medicine and treatment methods is as follows:
a) People with traditional medicine prescriptions are allowed to examine patients and use traditional medicine prescriptions certified by competent authorities to treat diseases or illnesses;
b) Traditional medicine used to treat diseases must have correct ingredients, dosage form, uses (indications), dosage, and method of use;
c) Using many traditional medicine recipes certified by competent authorities to treat different diseases or illnesses in the same patient;
d) A person who has both a traditional medicine prescription and a traditional treatment method used simultaneously for a patient at the same time;
d) Not to prescribe and use chemical drugs, herbal drugs and use specialized methods and techniques of modern medicine to diagnose and treat diseases.
a) People with traditional medical treatment methods are allowed to examine and use traditional medical treatment methods that have been certified by competent authorities to treat diseases or illnesses;
b) Traditional medicine methods used to treat diseases must follow the correct procedures and treat the correct disease or illness as approved by competent authorities;
c) Using many traditional healing methods, combined with traditional medicine to treat different diseases and symptoms in the same patient;
d) It is not allowed to use modern medical methods and techniques to diagnose and treat diseases outside the scope of traditional medical practice.
